The Road to Lisbon 2017
“If you go to Lisbon, we’ll go once again”
In 2017 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Celtic winning the European Cup, 30 cyclists from across the world had the adventure of a lifetime. They paid tribute to the mighty ‘Lisbon Lions’ by cycling from Celtic Park to the Estadio Nacional in Lisbon. On route they cycled 1,200 miles through Scotland, England, Spain and onto Portugal.
In keeping with the charitable roots of Celtic FC they helped raise over £80,000 for charitable organisations, such as the Celtic FC Foundation.
After a challenging 1,200 miles they celebrated with fellow fans in Lisbon and paid tribute to the immortal Lisbon Lions.
